A Michelin Star meal for our 25th birthday

25 years! Can you believe it? We’re so excited to be celebrating our silver jubilee here at Smiths of Smithfield! A lot has changed since we first opened our doors, but one thing that’s never changed is our motivation to provide that incredible service and outstanding food. To mark this special occasion, we’ve invited Michelin-starred chef Andrew Pern for a very special event on Friday 3rd October.

We’re also thrilled to announce that the event is sponsored by our friends at Estrella, who will be providing a welcome drink and some very special goodies for you to take home!

Introducing chef Andrew Pern

Andrew Pern is a celebrated British chef and restaurateur, best known for his flagship restaurant, The Star Inn at Harome, in North Yorkshire. The restaurant has held multiple awards including a Michelin star since 2014, a testament to his dedication to championing locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. With a reputation built on his inventive approach to modern British cuisine, Andrew has gone on to open several other acclaimed venues and is a familiar face on television, having featured on popular shows like Great British Menu and Saturday Kitchen. As a long-time chef ambassador for Estrella, his partnership with them is a natural extension of his passion for fine dining.

A very special 5-course feast

Our very own Executive Chef Liam Walsh has been working side-by-side with Andrew to create an epic 5-course menu. They’ve dreamt up a sensational feast packed with the very best seasonal British ingredients, making it a meal worthy of a Michelin star. Best of all, we’ve priced it to take you back 25 years, so you know it’s an unmissable treat! Our brilliant sommelier, Christina, has also created a list of perfect wine pairings to really enhance the flavours of the meal.
